Purdue e-Pubs
Purdue e-Pubs is the repository for scholarly publications at Purdue University. Scholarly works posted to Purdue e-Pubs are freely available to a global audience.
Green Open Access
Many journal publishers allow authors to deposit versions of their paywalled works in institutional repositories. Green Open Access refers to the practice of sharing a version of a published article, usually the accepted manuscript (the peer-reviewed version before publisher formatting), in a public repository, like Purdue e-Pubs. This makes research freely accessible to anyone, anywhere, regardless of institutional affiliation or subscription access.
Repository Services
- Publication Eligibility Review Service: A repository staff member will review publisher sharing policies and requirements for your previously published works, including, but not limited to, manuscript versions and embargo restrictions. Once the review is complete, eligible and available publications will be deposited into Purdue e-Pubs by staff.
- Open Educational Resources (OERs): Our repository offers limited support for hosting OERs. Find out more about OER support at Purdue Libraries or contact epubs@purdue.edu to inquire further.
- Usage Statistics Reporting: Authors who have published in e-Pubs will automatically receive monthly reports including download data and readership metrics.
- PlumX Analytics: Purdue e-Pubs integration with PlumX allows authors to track mentions of their work on social media, blogs, and news sites.
- Accessibility Review: Our repository staff conducts accessibility checks on all materials to ensure compliance with legal and university standards.
