Esther Ellis Norton Professorship in Library Science
The Esther Ellis Norton Professorship in Library Science was established in 1998 through a gift of $1,000,000. Esther Ellis Norton was a 1927 Purdue University graduate who served as a librarian in Cincinnati for more than 35 years before her retirement and relocation to West Lafayette.
The Norton Professor is expected to provide leadership in discovery, learning, and engagement for the University Libraries.
