2023 ID:EALS Art Exhibition
On Thursday, April 13th the Institute held its inaugural art exhibition Information and Democracy: Education, Access, Libraries, and Society (ID:EALS) in the Chris & Michelle White Cornerstone Reading Room of the Humanities, Social Sciences, and Education Library at Purdue University, West Lafayette.
The juried show featured artists whose work explores significant threats related to our information environment. These works raise questions about information surveillance and privacy; challenges to democracy and our educational system; the omnipresence of information technologies; the relationship between misinformation and racism; and more.
The ID:EALS exhibition will run until April 24th, 2023. The Institute will seek submissions for next year’s ID:EALS art exhibition in fall of 2023.
