The Esther Ellis Norton Professorship in Library Science
The Esther Ellis Norton Professorship in Library Science was established in 1998 through a gift of $1,000,000. Esther Ellis Norton was a 1927 Purdue graduate who served as a librarian in Cincinnati for more than thirty-five years before her retirement and relocation to West Lafayette.
The Norton Professor is expected to provide leadership in discovery, learning and engagement for the University Libraries.
