More Than Books

At Libraries, we’re more than books. We’re more than 300 faculty, staff, and student workers who are passionate about meeting the changing information needs of Purdue University. We’re the School of Information Studies, where we offer a minor, certificates, and courses in information and data tools and literacy that make a profound impact on the education and success of students from disciplines across campus. We’re Archives and Special Collections, preserving priceless Purdue history, sharing forgotten stories of the past, and archiving the present for generations of future Boilermakers to enjoy. We’re world-class collections of books, journals, databases, and a growing wealth of electronic resources that can be accessed wherever and whenever our Boilermakers need them.

We’re strategic partners with the Purdue University Press and the University Copyright Office, adding depth and richness to the services we provide for faculty, staff, and students. We’re committed to sustainable scholarship, to providing the resources our campus needs in innovative ways that look past traditional, costly subscription models and instead look to the future of open access and direct publishing agreements for our Purdue authors. We’re campus’s favorite spaces for studying, working, and learning. And we’re growing all the time. We’re more than books. We’re Libraries.
