Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) OPEN
Purdue University Libraries and the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) have entered into a transformative Open Access agreement as part of the ACM OPEN pilot. This program allows researchers affiliated with Purdue University to publish open access articles in ACM publications at no cost to themselves. Participating in this pilot program helps ACM transform their publishing model to fully open access, while helping to advance the visibility and access of Purdue authored publications.
Purdue Libraries are paying one fee to cover subscription access as well as open access publication costs. As a result, members of the Purdue community will have full access to content in the ACM Digital Library; and, authors who wish to publish open access with ACM can do so without the need to pay article processing charges. Purdue authors will have the option to retain the copyright of their articles. ACM will deposit copies of all articles authored by Purdue University affiliated authors in Purdue e-Pubs, Purdue’s institutional repository for scholarly publications.
The agreement has been extended and will now be effective continuing January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2026.
